What are Boards?


Before we create a new board, let's briefly discuss what boards are. Boards are collections of 1 or many reports, displayed on a single screen. There is no limit to the number of reports that can be placed on a single board; however, only so many can be displayed on the screen before you need to scroll. Additionally, the more reports that are on a board, the longer it may take to load, depending on the reports on the board.


Creating a New Board


To create a new board:


  1. Navigate to the board module of <product> by clicking the "Board" link in the Module header


  2. At the top of the Board module sub-menu, click the "+" button that says "New Board"


  3. This will generate a new board pop-up, asking you to fill out the following information:
    1. Board title: the name that will appear at the top of the board in the main section, and in sub-menus as the name of the board
    2. Board description: a long description of the intent of the board. It will only be visible on Main Section of the module, under the board title

  4. This will create a blank board with the name and description provided.
